When I look at the state of artificial intelligence (AI), I say to people, and I believe this, that a community health worker armed with ChatGPT or the equivalent is probably better at diagnosis and therapy than 80% of doctors out there.

Not 80% of doctors in America. But look across the world at the quality of medical training and who actually takes care of people. We can make a dramatic improvement in people’s lives if we can just get AI into the hands of community health workers and then get them out into the community.

I think that’s where things are today. AI is going to continue to shape not just healthcare delivery. I think it’s going to help us with drug innovation. I think it’s going to help us across a range of things that will be very powerful. And I have to believe that, at the end of the day, that is going to end up making a big difference in people’s health if we can channel the AI energy toward those impacts.
